I took the initiative to redesign and standardize hundreds of handwritten price signs for both the beer and wine sections. Previously, vendors were creating their own signs—often inconsistently—during their visits.
Since many were already using tablets, I developed a Google Slides template they could easily access and update as needed. While there was a bit of pushback because the staff liked the “approachable” written signs, I met them halfway by employing digital “doodle” graphics.
This really streamlined the process, saved time for both staff and vendors, and created a more cohesive look across the department in both locations.
This system is still in use today! Although I believe they have updated the design since my time, the process of using the Google slides is very much in place.
